Dear church family

The vision and purpose for St John’s Chapel is “to be the people of God who sees the gracious salvation plan of the missionary God and be a missionary church of Spirit-filled committed disciples of Jesus Christ, always ready to take the gospel to the nations”. It is very encouraging to see the church community faithful in giving, loving in encouragement and fervent in prayer for missions and evangelism work both locally and overseas.

Let us uphold our church missionaries in prayer for God’s grace, strength and joy. Please give them a call or write an email to encourage them in their ministry.

  1. Ian and Alison – They serve purposefully under a missions agency, with Ian providing important IT development and support for the agency’s outreach to many unreached people groups. They work in partnership with the local church in reaching out to many displaced refugees in need of God’s love and practical support.
  1. Gerry and Ya Hui – They have served faithfully for the past 6 years at ChiangMai under the deanery of Thailand in church planting work through education and community services. Praise God for many Thai students and families who have heard the gospel and whose lives have been touched by the Lord.
  1. Deborah – She has been serving under Overseas Missionary Fellowship at Thailand since November 2017. Having completed her Thai language studies, Deborah is currently reaching out to the urban poor community at Bangkok with the gospel and practical support help.

“For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”  How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed?  And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard?  And how are they to hear without someone preaching?  And how are they to preach unless they are sent?  As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”    Romans 10:13-15
