I went to the PC Show to buy a netbook for use. It was packed with people despite the fact that I was one of the earlier visitors. Many things were on display and for sale. One would have thought that a PC Show will have mainly computers with a little side shows. Fact is that there were more “non-related” items than computers, such as Magic washing balls and LCD TVs. It is time we come to realise that everything is more interconnected than we imagine.
That, however, is nothing new really. They are just closing in to being more like nature. The human being is a whole being (body, mind and spirit). They are not separate as many “enlightenment” teachings and philosophies try to impress upon people. Our forefathers from the very beginning knew that the body, mind and soul are one.
Let us look at it this way. You have made a decision to pray for an hour in that particular evening. However, you had a long hard day and by evening were very tired. The only thing you were looking forward to was to have a good sleep. Do you really think that you would be praying for that one hour, let alone with intent and purpose? Who are we kidding?
My friends, we have to take care of all aspects of ourselves – physical (body), mental/emotional (mind), spiritual (soul). Do some form of physical exercises at least three times a week (other than jumping to conclusions). Read a book or engage in some intellectual pursues to exercise the mind. More importantly, engage in spiritual exercises everyday. This would bring everything else that we do in tune with our being and Maker.
What are spiritual exercises? The simplest and most found wanting, are studying the Scriptures and praying. Do these two conscientiously and others will fall in line.
God bless!
